As my mother aged, she became increasingly susceptible to bruising, bandaged bleeding scraps and blood blisters on her arms caused by the most minor scraping of her skin, or tiniest thorn punctures from one of her many rose bushes. Now retired, the same condition has come upon me and appears to be progressively becoming worse as I age, as it it did with Mom. A recent urgent water heater replacement required the renovation of the dedicated closet housing the unit, resulting in both of my arms and hands covered by large bandages protecting big bleeding scrapes, and not bandaged dark blood blisters/bruises covering all areas of both arms. When I'd find blood on a glove or shirt, I wouldn't know what I'd done to cause the new scrape or cut.
