This works and really does heal long term splits. I had a job for 2 1/2 years where my hands were in water cleaning little corners where I used my index finger. I also had to open cans several times a day with my index finger. My nail was perpetually split. I tried to be very careful, two and a half years after quitting that job, my nail still split any time I did even a little work like that again. It was always catching on things. It was awful. I decided to find some help. I read reviews and bought this OPI Repair Mode. I put it on several times per day. It dries very quickly so it was simple. No mess no trouble. I did two months of frequent application. My nail would seem like it was getting stronger but it did split two more times during the first 6 weeks. I did not stop because I could feel the nail becoming thicker and stronger. I bought this in October. I haven’t used it al all since mid January and my nail is something I don’t even have to think about anymore. Regularly strong. No splitting. I am so happy.I show a picture of how it looked for almost 4 years and a few as I went along and then how it is now. My cuticles are dry because I still work with my hands. Sorry!
