I started my rotation through peds this semester, and to my great surprise, kids and babies are not little humans. Their vital signs are different, their symptoms are different, and they get different illnesses. luckily, this book covers just about everything. I've yet to come across something that wasn't in this book. it includes growth and vaccine charts, and then covers illnesses by system. the layout is a lot like all of the current books (essentials of diagnosis, clinical findings - symptoms, signs, imaging - and treatment), and along the way there are some very useful charts that divvy up the broader topics (plant poisoning, floppy infant causes...) . great book, would recommend to all med students learning pediatrics!
