I’m pleased with this muzzle. We own a pit bull mix who is protective and territorial until she accepts new people and new animals. Being she is an outside dog, this muzzle keeps everyone safe and out of trouble when we are inside. It does not allow her to nip at ankles from visitors, get in fights with new dogs, or attack strange cats. She is able to pant and drink water comfortably with this on. During the day it is on all day and it comes of at night when the dogs are put in the garage. I have had no issues with it getting caught on anything, rubbing her fur off, or irritating her skin. It has lasted me 2 years. The nosepiece will need periodic adjustment to tighten, but otherwise there are no issues.Nobody would enjoy being muzzled. But there are times it may be the best option available. My dog is not aggressive and does not "bite", but he is very playful and quite "mouthy". This muzzle has helped him curtail the use of his mouth on everything and everyone. It fits him well and does not chafe or pinch, but he absolutely hates having it on. As he is now about a year and a half old, he is starting to leave the puppy stage and getting less mouthy. We haven't used the muzzle on him for 2 or 3 months now. This past summer, we took a long road trip and used it a couple of times when he was near strangers and other animals, but only until he got over his excitement at meeting them. This device is simple to adjust and put on. Your worst chore will be getting the dog to cooperate, if he/she doesn't like it. I do not recommend a muzzle when the dog is not supervised. The reviews can vary because there are many types of dogs with many different shapes of head and snout. It would be impossible to design one type to fit all dogs. My dog is a 50 lb. mutt with a medium length snout and this fits him well. He is agitated for the first 5 or 10 minutes of wearing it, but then accepts his fate and settles down. The construction of the muzzle seems strong and durable. The strap could use some refinement, but is functional.Overall, I am pleased with the ZEUS Alpha TPR Muzzle and would likely buy it again if I needed it for another dog. I would have given 5 stars if the strap had been a little better. As with all my reviews, I will update this if and when my opinion changes.Item is as described. Average quality.Made in ChinaGood product however when I wasn’t around my boyfriend left it out and my dog chew it upEasy to use as describedI was up in the air with this muzzle. Until I found out I could form this to for better, by placing it in boiling water for 30 second at a time. We got it to change it's form to make it wider. So I’m not one to write reviews at all but this needs to be heard ! So I have an aggressive pitbull who owns the entire downstairs & small dogs that live upstairs.. I have a yorkie/shit zhu who is obsessed with toys and the pit loves to bully her over her toys .. The pit decides to stand over smaller dog and attack her but she couldn’t get to her because of the muzzle so she tried to squeeze the small dog as tight as she could as her way of attacking lol this muzzle 100% protected the smaller dog so much so the smaller dog never let her toy go during the entire altercation! This muzzle allows me to teach them that we are all a family & allows the big and small dogs to coexist without blood shed !It’s sturdy , the dogs teeth can not get through and all and all perfect for training and keeping them together a few hrs out the day !I fully recommend this product !I will add the straps could be better but they are still secure enough to wear the product hasn’t come off !Could not be happier with this as my intended use is for trimming dogs nails. Makes us both happy- she was starting to get a bit nippy at me during the trimming and having this on calmed her down and I felt more secure. My dog is a dachshund/lab mix, 14 yrs old, and weighs in at a whopping 19 lbs! Ordered size small. Took a few times testing it out on her for only a few minutes at a time as her immediate reaction was to try and take it off. I found using the over head buckle attached to collar, the around the neck behind the ears straps, and especially the rubber muzzle hook under the chin slipped through her collar makes it extremely secure but is trial and error on how tight to make it. No real instructions included but pretty simple once you try it out!Unlike the baskerville muzzle, which has sharp edges that literally cause injuries on dogs' faces (see pictures in reviews for that product), this muzzle does not. It is obvious that the manufacturer cares about the dogs that would use their product, unlike baskerville, and indeed unlike the baskerville - there are no sharp points or edges in the Zeus muzzle that can injure your dog.The fit of the Zeus for my dog's snout is also perfect, also unlike the baskerville which was narrow enough to leave pressure marks on my dog's face, and way too high above and below the snout making it both extremely uncomfortable as well as easy to take off for my dog.Bottom line - don't waste your money on baskerville, who didn't even bother responding to the reviews written by many other dog owners whose dogs suffered the same injuries as mine. Just get this one instead.Dog doesn’t like it but I do! It avoids him eating whatever is on the ground & I can let him unleashed on walks.Looks cruel from a third party but I’d rather not go to the vet if he gets sick from eating “crap” from the ground.Bought it warehouse & it was a great deal. Thanks! We bought this for our border collie who is none too friendly when out for walks. My intention was to be able to train him on it so that we could go to public places and not be worried about any potential injuries. However, this has not exactly worked as I had hoped.First off, the quality of the muzzle itself is great. No complaints there. The straps themselves could be made much better/smarter as tightening and loosening are quite a challenge. Unfortunately, my dog did not take to this very well and has managed to move this muzzle even after we've tightened it. It may the the way we tighten it, but I don't think so. I believe that if a dog really really really doesn't want to wear a muzzle, it won't.My dog is an as* to other dogs, mostly small ones. with this, we can confidently take him to the park. once it's on he seems to understand that he doesn't have to be a grump, and will willingly, and gently play with other dogs in a safe manner.Fits well, enough room for her to move around in and adjustable so that she can't try to take it off. I like the strap that goes on the top of the head which is what helps with making it stay on. I've only slowly eased her into it, the first day she was pretty fussy but the second day we tried multiple different times and so far it's been working great for what I want which is less barking and growling at other dogs or humans and of course not eating random stuff. She has not drank water from a bowl but did go swimming in the lake. A little hard to give treats, you have to get right in there to give the treat. Overall I would recommend.
