Pros: long cute nails. Can be done with little expertise. Pretty durable. Saves tons of money!Cons: colors are somewhat transparent, might want to paint over them. The kit doesn’t come with colored polish. Get a good UV lamp because they are hard to cure, especially if they are long. Get nail clamps because when you put the gel into the nail for and put it on your nails it will try to pop up and come off. Lack of instructions.Overall, great for the price, but be careful, take your time. It will take lots of practice to make them perfect as with anything else.Love this polygel kit it's so easy to use I do recommend that you get the nail clips so you can smooth out underneath the nail without pushing the form around and a good UV lampAs much as I wanted to love this I couldn’t. The Halloween/Christmas colors are much more transparent then shown. In order to get a solid color rather then see thru look you have to use a lot of product. Unfortunately they do not give you enough to do a whole hand as is and it’s especially not enough when trying to get the true colors shown. I found the product to breakdown extremely quickly even when using a small amount of slip and to flimsy when dry.Este kit es excelente para iniciar a realizar manicuria en casa o de forma profesional.Soy amateur haciendo aplicación de uñas, hace 2 años que me las hago yo misma. Siempre he utilizado gel común y acrílico. I've had some experience with at-home nails with acrylics before, but it was SO time consuming and difficult, then they wouldn't even stick! This kit is amazing for beginners to polygel like myself. I'd say it's more of a "trial" of products to see what you like to use best. Each bottle of polygel is maybe half full, so you can only get a few small sets from each, even less with longer nails. I'll definitely buy more of the clear. It's harder to see how much product you're using, but it's more multi-purpose. I've inlayed glitter pieces in and it was crystal clear. It also shows my nail bed color, while the pink polygel is slightly darker and looks a bit off (like in the blue-tipped set). I haven't tried the other colors yet, but I'd highly recommend having a very powerful LED lamp to cure more opaque colors. As a whole, you get everything you could possibly need to start. It definitely requires trial and error, I'd recommend watching TONS of research videos on it to get the techniques down, as it'll make the process go so much faster/smoother. But once you learn how to get it smooth with a nice apex, learn how thick to do them and how much product to use on each nail, they look amazing. I work in a commercial kitchen (baking and doing heavy dishes all day with no gloves) and a set will last me 2-3 weeks with light lifting!!!! With acrylics (done at the salon), they'd break off and lift like crazy in comparison, so (done correctly) they are very strong!Technique really is everything, however. My friend who does her nails with me has no experience doing her own, so the polygel gets on her cuticles and the nail pops off within days. Or she'll make them too thin and they'll break. So if they break off, it's most likely user error because we've been using the same exact products. If you aren't clean enough or prepping the nail correctly, they won't last or be as strong.I also HIGHLLYYYYY recommend getting a nice nail drill, as it'll make filing/shaping infinitely faster, and you can more easily get cured polygel off of cuticles. Also much faster at getting lifting off, doing fills, and changing colors. I also recommend getting more "slip" (I use 70% alcohol), lint-free wipes, and a variety of gel polishes. As someone who isn’t great at nail stuff, this was a bit of a gamble for me. I just wanted a way to do my nails that would last and hopefully stop me biting them. It took a few goes before I was confident with the product, but I’m really pleased with it. I’ve tried a few of the gels and the colours are really pretty. The kit comes with everything you need except a UV light. It can be tricky to get the hang of, but once I’d watched some tutorials online and had a few goes I found it surprisingly easy.I have had a poly gel kit before so have had a bit of practice in the past.I decided to save £45 at the salon and DIY it this year, It is fiddly and you need to get the gel amount and pressure just right as not to squidge the gel out the sides but once you get the hang of it the results are great.Use a clip to hold in place while curing or it slides off, you’ll only need one clip at a time so don’t buy 10 like me, save your money! My tips after trial and error would be to buff the nails first and apply nail dehydrator for stronger application, make them much longer than you want so you can trim and shape them, once the gel is on remember to work the underneath or they’ll be clumpy and cure them for as long as you can each side, otherwise it’ll stay soft inside and eventually break away. I haven’t got to grips with filling in the poly nails yet though. I used the pink diamond one for these nails. Not very good quality. After doing my nails several times I’ve ended up with them just breaking within an hour or two without actually doing anything. I’ve tried doing them thicker, thinner etc and it dosnt seem to make a difference. I’ve even tried a different uv light in case it was that at fault but same results.Item is a bit fiddly to use but quite easy once you get use to it, just takes practice will definately buy again
