I like how the nail polish sparklesi adore this brand because they have the best clear/base-coat ever. great concept to have substance you are hermetically sealing your healthy nails under have antifungal tendencies (tea-tree, etc.), no harsh chemicals, & some (maybe/supposedly) nourishing components. strange to say for clear, it is beautiful because it has no yellowing elements - neither when applied, nor over time (doesn't "go yellow). it goes on thin, drys in reasonable time, lasts well, & even as i reach my benign-neglect limit it still looks good a bit chipped up. it is expensive, but as i remind myself, whole bottle costs less than the average manicure. i figure, having that as protective base-coat, you can put any just good-looking cheaper color polish on next. i was loath to spend that on color sight-unseen i might not like in hand.finally, i get to this actual color/type, magnetic midnight. i do like the color well enough, which on a foggy winter day or at night looks sharp, while in sunlight dazzle emerges. i docked a star because with glitter effect it goes on gloppy. i like that they have enough substance that you don't have to put too many layers on to give a solid granite/graphite effect, but then you can end up with some sticking out a bit instead of flat as it dries. great experiment, which i do not regret. a friend complimented it, & having told her the issues, she said "i'll take it, thank you"Recommended by my podiatrist and she sold it in the office. Been using it once a week for over a year. Between 4 bottles of different colors this is the second "refill" I've had to order. I use two coats of this enriched polish as three coats leaves a blueish appearance. Gives the impression your hypoxic or something.My nails get ridges, they split from tip to base of the nail and occasionally they sport an avulsion on the tips. This polish fills in the ridges, heals the damage and restores a healthy looking nail again in around a month of consistent usage.After those two coats I use the clear base/top coat polish. And talk about fast drying, at least for the first two coats, the third needs about 5-10 minutes. If I'm using one of the colors I use one coat of this, two coats of color then a coat of clear. I'm happy to look at my hands again. I believe I'd have to say the results are dramatically positive. And no horrible smell like regular polish. I don't think you can go wrong with this brand. The price on Amazon is the same as sold in the office or on the Dr. Remedy web site. The colors are opaque in two coats and doesn't start deteriorating for 3-5 days and that's without the top coat. I'm not ashamed to go out any more because my nails look fantastic again. Dr Remedy is my solution to disgusting looking fingernails, it gave me back a healthy looking set of nails, both finger AND toenails!!!I'm one of those ladies that always has pretty painted nails. I had shellac polish on my toenails and dropped a heavy can on my big toe several months ago around the holidays. When I went to get my nails done I was told tge injury caused a nail fungus to form and I couldn't get my nail painted. I was horrified and worried about it spreading to other nails. I soaked my feet often in a tea tree oil soak. I refused to go without polish on my big toe. I went on a search to find something safe to use and came across this product. I purchased a few different colors. They all covered well and lasted a long time without chipping much. I liked this color best because of the faint metallic hint to the finish. It allowed the nail fungus to grow out and my other nails were never affected. Thank you for making a safe and high quality product! I even told the people at my local salon so they can recommend it to other clients if needed and maybe even offer it.A foot doctor recommended this stuff when I complained about my fingernails always splitting and cracking. This stuff actually works! For the first time in my life I have actual working fingernails that grow so long I need manicure scissors to cut them. I can peel tape off a package. I do rub a heavy moisturizing cream into my cuticles every night, but that alone doesn't do the trick. I can't recommend this polish highly enough.The Dr.'s Remedy polish has really changed the health of my nails, and for that, I give it 5 stars. Magnetic Midnight is a great color with just enough sparkle. However, THIS color leaves stains on my nails that don't come off, even when I tried using 100% acetone. I like to give my nails some rest between polishes but found I had to paint them right away to cover up the stains. I haven't had the same issue with the other colors from this brand. If you always keep your nails polished, this probably isn't a big deal.Love this product! I was skeptical at first but was eager to find a polish that would help strengthen my splitting, brittle nails that also had a white nail fungus. After just a couple of weeks using this polish my nails are no longer splitting, the white fungus is gone and they are strong and have grown long. I will never use any other polish on my nails. The polish goes on nicely and dries relatively quickly. My only suggestion is to let each coat dry before applying the next one. I give this product 5 STARS!!my dad's never worn gloves while he does masonry, and it's erroded and warped the growth pattern of his nails, and i gave him a few different products to try, and out of the 4 of them this one is the one he's still using. (4months later)... his nails have finally stopped growing in waves, and started to flatten out to a natural nail's curve of growth.i would recommend this to anyone who is having nail growth problems like uneven nails, or thin nails.Easy to use, gives on smoothly and looks lovelyExcellent, love this product, lasts a long time on the nails!
