I don’t usually leave reviews, even though I should since I keep Amazon in business with everything I order. I have a middle ear infection for three weeks now that stemmed from having a sinus infection. I have been miserable all month. Iv gone to the dr 3 times and have been given two different antibiotics and steroids on top of taking otc stuff like decongestant and Flonase. Nothing has helped. This last week it turned into my ear essentially being glued shut and I had so much liquid not draining that my face and jaw on my bad side would swell and everytime I opened my mouth or chewed food it would cause a lot of pain on top of the constant pain of my ear infection. I was miserable and so I saw this on Amazon and decided it was worth a try for 20 some dollars while I wait for my ent appointment next week. The day it arrived I was in the most pain I had been and didn’t talk all day or sleep the night before because my face and my ear was in alot of pain. I did this a couple times and in the middle of the night I realized I could feel some air passing through my ear and then all of sudden I felt in my throat essentially the sound of when u take the plug out of the sink or bathtub. The next morning I felt so much better. I’m on day 3 of using it and the problem isn’t completely gone but it’s 10 times better. I can close my mouth and chew with almost no pain. My ent appointment is tomorrow so I’m hopeful they can help me finally kick this terrible infection. I really believe if I had this product the first week maybe it would have cleared it completely and I would of never gotten to this point of it being so infected and clogged. I reccomend blowing the ballon as big as you can , even if it pops on you. Sometimes I’d drink some water and wait to swallow until I’d blown the ballon to help get an even bigger swallow to help try to pop the balloon. If you are in pain this will help alleviate it! I’m sure if your infection or clogged isn’t as bad as mine this thing would definitely fix the problem for you. I never write reviews or even think to do a long one like this but I had to let people know especially after the miserable month I have had. I had been crying and not sleeping due to 3 weeks of constant pain. 10/10This product has helped me so much. I didn't want to jinx it with a review, and over time my ears are so much better. I have allergies and asthma and my ears constantly felt plugged with water. I was popping them constantly and it was starting to affect my daily life badly. Ive been getting allergy shots since fall of 2020 and still had the ear issues. Even tried different nose sprays. I asked for a referral to the EMT doctor because i was miserable. My friend recommended this product to me and said how it worked for her. I read the reviews and realized im not alone in experiencing this issue. So I ordered it and have been using it 2x daily since June and I have so much relief!! I no longer feel like my ears are always plugged and did not feel the need to see the doctor. I still pop them sometimes but it’s not nearly as bad as before. I’m so thankful for this product and will recommend to anyone with similar issues!!I had Otitis Media with effusion. My ENT gave me steroids but that didn't help. He then wanted me to consider having a tympanostomy. But I didn't find the idea of putting a hole in my ear to be very appealing. So I did some googling and found Otovent. I had a hard time using it and blowing into it to repressurize my ears. So I decided to use an animal balloon pump to pump up the balloon; and then use it to repressurize my ears. My ears cleared up after just a few treatments. Very happy with the results once I figured out a way to use it that worked for me.I bought this four months ago and wanted to come back and write a review because it’s helped me so much. I have had issues with earaches my whole life, from swimmers ear to middle ear pain. I even wear earplugs to shower because water gets trapped so easily for me. In the past year, I’ve suffered horribly with vertigo from it. A specialist told me I suffer from “Eustachian tube dysfunction,” gave me a prescription for Flonase and sent me on my way. Still miserable, I started looking for solutions because I would get horribly plugged ears and have extreme pain at least once a month, to the point I couldn’t work. I spent $60 and bought the “eustachi.” It helped, but not enough and definitely didn’t solve it for me. I found this on Amazon and decided it was worth a try. It was!I use it daily and I haven’t had lasting pain in my ear since! Now when my ear starts to hurt, I blow up the balloon a couple of times on each nostril and it unplugs it for me. I still get plugged ears, but now I’m not using ear drops and waiting days for the pain to subside. I also carry the second one in my purse in case I feel ear pain start. THIS IS AMAZING!! If it doesn’t work right away, keep using it anyway, because eventually you’ll see an improvement. This is more than worth the money it cost me. By now I would’ve been to my doctor’s office or urgent care at least three times. Now I just use the balloon twice a day and more often if I feel an earache starting.10 tries but it actually worked. The price is very high considering you get one small tool and 10 balloons.My ENT recommended I tried this. I had tried literally everything one could possibly try, including hours of videos and another device. This one is much more gentle but it definitely works. I used it 3 times a day for a few days, then cut back to twice a day. Now I use as needed.I like the idea of this. And it does work to an extent to open my ears. However, it's just not strong enough to open my clogged ear all the way. Even when I squeeze on the balloon, it doesn't have enough thrust. I also have a hard time keeping the air from escaping out the unclogged ear.
