The best thing that I can mention is how responsive the Customer Support team is! When I ordered initially, I ordered a large and it was too large for my dog. Rather than return, the Customer Support team advised me that they would send a replacement at no additional cost and that I could keep the first one. Based on the measurements I gave them, they sent a small muzzle but it's too small. I believe that I can modify it to fit my dog, however. The muzzle is very sturdy! Our dog was able to remove the previous one that we had because the retaining strap slipped over his ears. The design of this muzzle removes that possibility. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5 star rating in comfort is because I haven't been able to fully assess the fit yet. The part that goes over the snout has a very nice pad and should be very comfortable.The muzzle fits nicely on both of my dogs without obstructing their view. I mainly bought this to restrain barking with my 20 pound pup. She is a Terrier mix and the small fit well in using on the largest adjustment and having about 1/2" of velcro to work with (I was thinking the medium might be too large because I didn't want an overhang of velcro to obscure eyes/line of sight). Since my other pup is a 13 pound Shih Tzu/possible Maltese mix and having a shorter snout (about 1-1/2 to 2"), this fit her perfectly as well (she has a tendency to nip/bite and bark). When either have the muzzle on, they just decide to lie down which keeps them quiet. I am not sure whether this will keep either from excessive barking in the future but all I have to do is show them the muzzle or put it on them and they quiet down temporarily. My goal is to train them to refrain from unnecessary barking so the muzzle isn't needed. A good use for these will be on outdoor walks but as of now, we are in a work in progress mode. Overall, I am pleased with the quality and fit. My only other comment would be that I wish other colors were offered. Having 2 dogs with different snout measurements, I wanted to have one for each but in different colors so I know which goes to whom. Unfortunately from what I could find, this seller only offered the red so I had to go elsewhere for another color but the design/measurements look to be identical (just had to spend about $2 more). Bottom line: Great product and appears to be comfortable on the pup without irritation to their snout, fit is secure and adjustable, price is affordable, seller was great in response time.I was just a little surprised with the sizing. I have an 11 pound bichon frise and according to the measurements I was looking at a medium. he has a very short snout but it measures about 6 inches around.the medium was too big and the material actually went up to his eyes so he could barely see over it, and the straps, even at the tightest, were way too big. so we got him the small and that seems to work fine. It’s only used for training because he barks at anything that moves outside and chews on anything no matter how valuable it is!!!I saw some where the dog could at least lap water, but I don’t think there’s any space in this muzzle for him to lap water. which is fine because if he can lap water he can probably chew in a cord!! and again, we only put this on him temporarily when he will not stop barking or chewing- despite traditional measures. It’s kind of snug on his little snout but the straps fit perfectly. I was able to stick my finger through so he has plenty of room to breathe and do whatever he needs to do besides cause damage LoL. I included some pictures. Of course he looks miserable! anyway he’s an 11 pound dog and I did not expect him to fit into the size for “toy poodles“. The size discrepancy is 100% due to the fact that the Bichon Frise have very short snouts. he’s a robust dog too. So don’t let size fool you!Was advised it would not be delivered until April 23rd. Delivered today on March 29th. Thank you Amazon. She chewed up the last one. I have a special needs dog with Hyper Arousal. Her impulse control seems to be missing. She runs from one end of the house to the other and cannot seem to concentrate on anything until she finally needs to be put in her kennel from complete exhaustion, where she sleeps for hours during the day. We have her on medication and a special diet but this is who she is and we have built a life for her to enjoy with lots of attention, toys and love.The muzzle is very soft but for some reason, she calms down immediately. She is able to lie on the bed and be calm and it greatly lessens her anxiety. I do not know why and neither does my Vet. I use is sparingly for times where she cannot be calmed down or her anxiety is so bad that I can see she is stressed. I have consulted many trainers to help Daisy with behavior modification but the behavior persists. She is very smart, loving and sweet. I could not love her more. I cannot recommend this collar more since we do use it as a last resort but it works every single time.I ended up returning the product because I was unsure of sizing. Trying to measure your dog and compare to a chart online was not as simple as it seemed. The product looked fine, arrived on time and was well packaged. It just didn’t work out for me.Seemed good, but our dog smacked it off his face within the first 20 seconds of it being on him ? It's clearly durable, but probably not the right kind of muzzle for him. Due to this, I ended up giving it to my friend for their dog and it works perfectly and seems comfortable!I have a 13 lb maltese mix and she is a barker! I also wouldn't trust her not to nip, so this easy to put on muzzle is good. The one my vet uses costs $40 and I didn't want to spend that amount so I purchased this one. It's easy to put on ~ snaps on, we easily adjusted it to her size. We don't leave it on, using it to train her. Overall, very pleased.They gave me an extension clip that didn't even fit. Collar is kinda useless...My dog only has it on for 5 minutes at a time, so I don't know about the long term issues. Seems comfy, but if you're dog is smart, they can get it off no issue.I use this item for dog training and control.
