I worried about buying this product. I thought it might not fit my couch, or that it would be really cheap material. But I have been pleasantly surprised to find that it's made of nice, sturdy fabric, and even tho the washing directions say to line dry it, I put it on low in the dryer for 20 minutes and it comes out fine. I suppose there may be long term effects to doing this, but I like to keep my couch covered since it is black and I have cats. So getting it back on the couch as soon as possible is important. That being said, I did line dry it a couple of times, and it dries pretty quickly, in a few hours.I haven't used the ties on this, it seems to be more of a hassle to try to get them around the couch much less tie them. The cover does slide down when the person sitting on it slouches or moves around alot, but I haven't had an issue getting it straightened back out. I use the seams as a guide, and my couch holds onto the fabric pretty well. I can see that putting this onto a leather couch would be an issue.If you aren't sure if this will fit onto your couch, be aware that if the cover seems like it will be too big, it will most likely still be usable, as you can push the excess fabric into the creases of your couch (by the arms and behind the seat cushions). I will measure this cover and edit this post later. I can't remember if the size listed includes the arm extensions or not.I bought three of these for use on two couches so I can rotate them out when they get hairy or spilled on. They do NOT attract cat hair, but if your cat (or dog) lays on these day after day they will get hairy.I bought these to minimize the hair on the couches, and take them off when company comes over, and put them right back on when they leave. That way I don't have to keep trying to clean the hair off the black couches (I don't know what I was thinking other than the couches are really pretty, and they look great with the leaf side of this cover on them).These are reversible and the fabric is extremely soft as the listing states.I don't think these are liquid repellent, so if you have family members that spill alot, I would recommend searching for one that is.Otherwise I highly recommend this item
