Works great, I had a little hard time keeping it straight, but that’s just operator error. I like the flexibility of no cord. Easy to transport and the five amp hour battery last a long time. The standard bits are easy to take in and out. The chisel bit works great also. The only problem I had with it was not knowing when to stop. It drills so easy, it is easy to go too deep with your anchors. It comes with a depth rod adjustment, I guess if I would’ve used it I would not have gone to deep, but I didn’t use it and went too deep.She make hole in concrete.My co-worker just got the Dewalt XR Rotary Combo Hammer, and I have to say my Makita XRH01 is a tad bit lighter and more ergonomic. The placement of the side-grip handle on the Dewalt is a bit too cramped for comfort. Love the Makita. I've also used comparable Milwaukee and Hilti rotary hammers. I would say the XRH01 performs on the same level, yet less expensive than both brands. Also, nobody on these jobs sites has a Makita rotary hammer, so it's easier to know which tools are mine.4th year Residential/Commercial Electrician. I use this tool mostly to drill holes in concrete for metal and plastic anchors. It will drill a 5/8" x 1-1/2" hole in about 20 seconds.Overall a very good drill in this class. The idling load of the battery is 5.5A, which is a very good result compared to the previous brushed model in which it was as much as 15A. Which resulted in overheating on the battery and thus their faster wear and damage. The quality of the gears in the transmission leaves much to be desired (very loud work) the previous model did not have this problem. Makita, can't you produce something that will be well-polished, isn't it achievable for you? I do not think so.Does a great job for a cordlessIt was not cheap but the power and ergonomics is top notch. It is extremely heavy on the battery but if you had 6AH batteries you would be fine. If you want a solid well made tool then I have no complaints.Works well while it does then dies - latest one lasted less than 12 mo - we now have three of these dead in the back room. Light use, nothing crazy.Best tool I got in a long while. Wall tiles fly off the wall with the proper angled 1 inch chisel attached !I've owned many rotor hammers, mostly makita s including the double battery makita rotor Hammer. But it kept breaking down. The corded ones are great. But this single 18 volt is a little monster. I use it commercially remodeling tile and other things on swimming pools. One of my better purchased. Love itDrill pieces do not fit the drill. Lamp is very weakPoor quality product i didn’t like it looks like very cheapLamp does not work. It literally turned it on right away once I got it and tested it out. I plugged it in and put my hand in and the sensor turned the light on, everything was fine those first few tries but after putting my hand in about 10x the light stopped working. Tried using a different cable and plug and swapped a bunch to get it to turn on again but nothing would help. Very disappointed as it was super cute and wanted this to replace my lamp I have now, since this wattage was supposed to be stronger. Please don’t waste your time buying this. It was nice that it came with so many extras with it, but kinda pointless if the main item you need doesn’t even work.The lamp destroyed my nail beds. They started peeling and bleeding due to the lamp in this kit. Everything else is good except for the lamp. The lamp does not cure gel polish, acrylic powders or acrylic gel! Also the longer you use it, the longer it will cause damage to your skin.
